Casa Maurice 11 Rua Aristides de Sousa Mendes, Albardeira, Lagos is a beautifully appointed modern self catering family villa rental and has every facility you will need to enjoy a perfect stay in one of the Algarve's most attractive areas. With close access to Meia Praia, an unspoilt beach with good restaurant facilities available day and night, and also the fabulous 'Marina de Lagos' and Lagos town centre, each just a 10 to 15 minute walk away.
The detached villa is ideally positioned, whilst offering superb self catering accommodation with five large bedrooms, three with air conditioning, with further accommodation if required, four bathrooms a large modern lounge, with indoor dining and a fully equipped kitchen. There are private terraces on two levels, with a choice of BBQ and outdoor private dining facilities, with large open pool terrace, manicured gardens and large swimming pool (pool heating is available between March and October for an additional fee). There is a video entry system and secure parking, together with a fully equipped games room, air conditioning and central heating for an all-year round self catering rental opportunity. We have installed solar panels to reduce our carbon footprint and make the most of the fabulous Portuguese sunshine!
Casa Maurice is ideally located just behind the Meia Praia beach, in a hamlet of deluxe villas in Albadeira. The position of the villa ensures that you benefit from privacy in attractive surroundings, with the advantage that the Meia Praia beach, 'Marina de Lagos' and Lagos town centre are all just a short walk away. The fabulous 'Marina de Lagos' features many excellent restaurants, bars and deli cafes, in a wonderful setting amidst dozens of boats. The old town of Lagos is accessed across the swing bridge in within the Marina enabling you to explore the beach marina and town easily on foot and features a host of excellent restaurants, cafes and bars offering consistency and varied choice. Due to the villas ideal location a car is not essential during your holiday, although, if you would like to explore a little further afield, there are many excellent beaches and water activities available with a one or two kilometres of the Villa, with Praia Dona Ana
or 'Ponte Piade' probably the most photographed beaches in the Algarve located just 2 kilometres away.

Each of the bedrooms within this luxury villa are furnished with matching beds, wardrobes, twin bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers and dressing chairs where required. There are 3 large double bedrooms, and 2 twin bedrooms, plus additional accommodation available within the games room annex, where two single beds can be provided. The accommodation comprises of a ground floor double bedroom with adjacent family bathroom and a below floor games room facility which incorporates an adjacent twin bedroom, with ensuite shower room. On the first floor there are three adjacent bedrooms, each bedroom features two large sliding glass doors with in built mosquito nets. These large glass doors open out to a large outdoor terraced balcony. This balcony is a great place to meet and great in the morning, the balcony over looks the ground floor pool terrace and private swimming pool. The three first floor bedrooms comprise of a master double bedroom, with ensuite facilities, a large double bedroom and a twin bedroom. The twin bedroom and large double bedroom are adjacent to a family bathroom with shower facility, wash basin toilet and bidet. There is a large cot conveniently positioned in its own area adjacent to these bedrooms and next to the bathroom.
Private terracing and gardens, sunshine all day
This luxurious Villa also provides complete privacy within attractive gardens which are caringly attended on a weekly basis throughout the year, offering solitude within a peaceful setting. The rear gardens of the property are adjacent to the large swimming pool c/w garden shower. There are also attractive flowerbeds positioned all along the garden perimeter and also around the BBQ area. An automatic irrigation system ensuring that the beautiful flowers and grass are kept in ideal condition all year around. The south facing terraces enjoy the sunshine all day with the impressive swimming pool, measuring 35 feet by 17 feet providing lots of fun. Bathing is private as the Villa is secluded and not overlooked as the rear of the property is within a green belt area. A pool technician arrives twice weekly to ensure the pool is kept clean and is monitored for a correct chemical balance, the pool can be heated within autumn and winter months, heating equipment is supplied free of cost with electricity only charged at cost of £ 18 per day. The well lit and relaxing separate BBQ area is popular with guests and often used for outdoor breakfast as the kitchen is directly accessible to and from the BBQ patio area and is shaded under a pagoda. The upstairs terrace is adjacent to the three double bedrooms situated along its length, giving guests the opportunity to have breakfast or a pre-dinner drink upstairs on the balcony, overlooking the pool and terraces, or if you prefer on the terraces below.

There are four seperate large 3m glass sliding doors creating a 'light airy' feel to this modern lounge area, with direct access to the poolside and the terracing or the side and rear gardens. The lounge area can be made reassuringly secure at night by utilising the outer green shutter doors and seperate internal patio door locks.

The bathrooms and shower rooms are beautifully tiled throughout and furnished to a high standard, with matching furniture and vanity units with illuminated mirrors. The family bathrooms on the ground floor and first floors have inbuilt shower facilities within the enclosure and also have wash basin and toilet. There are two bidet's within the family bathroom on the first floor and also the ground floor facility respectively. The downstairs twin bedded room has a shower cubicle and wash basin and toilet. In addition there is an external garden shower for bathers located adjacent to the swimming pool.

An excellent Games room comprising Snooker, Pool, Table Tennis and Electronic Darts, also, for those who prefer to just watch there are two seating areas.

Swimming pool
Can be heated if required, it is an outdoor pool one of the largest private pools in the area measuring 35ft by 17ft. The pool also has a roll on cover which can be utilised to keep the pool water warm overnight during winter months.

Families with children of all ages very welcome, short or long term renters welcome, pets considered, suitable for groups of all ages, plus the elderly or infirm, wheelchair accessible.

Style
Accommodation is modern, centrally heated, air conditioned where needed and is spacious and finished withj furniture of high standard. A superb Villa with excellent facilities for both indoor and outdoor living. Although the Villa comfortable accommodates 12 persons, there are several areas where you can sit quietly alone, whilst the other members of the party are occupied elsewhere, perhaps on the upstairs terrace or down the side of the garden, whilst the other members are sitting by the pool etc.
